Leaders and Lessons Learned from the Application of CQI
Students will read case-studies, visit the websites of leaders who have implemented continuous quality improvement (CQI) in their own organizations, and listen to lessons learned from the leaders themselves. The course builds a core competency in summarizing the actions that constitute successful leadership in applying quality systems, re-writing the notes from the sessions in a format that highlights the application of quality system principles and best practices, and then creating a original plan for reporting the learning points to the leaders of their own organizations. The course builds skills in delineating which practices are the ones most effectively employed and why they were successful in healthcare.
This course is delivered in on-line modules complemented by off-line review and assistance. On-site, in person meetings are offered when possible.
Deliver doctoral level knowledge, summaries and reports of leaders and lessons learned from their applications of quality system management principles and best practices in healthcare.
