Leaders and Lessons Learned from the Application of QSM in Higher Education
Students will read case-studies, visit the websites of leaders who have implemented quality improvement in their own educational organizations, and listen to lessons learned from the leaders themselves. The course builds a core competency in summarizing the actions that constitute successful leadership in applying quality systems, re-writing the notes from the sessions in a format that highlights the application of quality system principles and best practices, and then creating a original plan for reporting the learning points to the leaders of their own organizations. The course builds skills in delineating which practices are the ones most effectively employed and why they were successful in education.
This course is delivered in on-line modules complemented by off-line review and assistance. On-site, in person meetings are offered when possible.
